What a great few weeks its been for us.
By this Feb. 15th, we will barely reach our 1st month as 2g4g.com.
Now that we’ve started the wheels in motion, I’m sure (if you’ve been visiting us more than once) you’re probably thinking to yourselves, “but what is 2gamers 4gamers really about?”
Well for starters, we’re a gaming weblog… an inspiring community. Our hopes is to bring insights and commentary that eventually stand out. A gaming Editorial similiar to those in a daily newspaper but specifically 4gamers.
It’ll take time but I hope to make it interesting and fun.
And of course 2g4g is in the process of establishing itself as a gaming solutions company. So far we’re entering the market in rentals (*2/21/07 update* We are posponing our Rentals Services until we can establish a larger library) and repair. In time we hope to offer more stuff. Who knows, we’d love to be an online ecommerce for all things gaming, but first we’ll build on things that we can afford. Selling games might not be the smartest idea in today’s market. (see my last blog On DVDEmpire) But maybe T-Shirts? Game-related artwork? Mugs? Accessories? Who knows, but the future is bright.
And we love the fact that we can build our business online and avoid overhead costs for brick and mortar. But we do aspire to have a brick and mortar too. (one day) As gamers we envision having a gaming store company both off and online that will change the look and approach to ecommerce for gamers. We hope to make it more inviting and less divided. All this while bringin our current skillsets to bat.
Gaming rentals (*see above comment*) and repairs seemed like the easiest way to provide a service to to our community, work using our strengths and get our feet wet in the gaming market.
Its also the easiest for us to get word of mouth about our website and provide a need (Repairs) that often gets neglected.
We hope to be a big part of our gaming community locally so that we can use that synergy to help us reach the global gaming community.
So thats where we stand after three weeks into it. All in all we have our gamers at heart and we hope it’ll begin to bleed out from our work.
And while Junj & I have our ideas we both really wanted this site to be about gamers.

As our weblog gets more attention and we draw more readers we really want gamers to know they can be apart of this community. As a newly founded company we at 2g4g also want our audience’s input. Who knows maybe we’ll find ways to work together.
It remains to be seen ultimately how any business is. Even after our first year, heck even 5 years… it’ll take us time to find our path and exactly pinpoint our direction.
Guess, the fun thing is…. its all just beginning. And with the advent of blogging, all of what we are doing and how we are getting are start in the gaming industry… its all recorded here.

So if you’re reading this blog feel special. Know that you don’t have a run of the mill start-up. We are gamers first, and we’ll be gamers last – thats one thing for sure. And we’ll take the time to learn and grow so in time, we’ll get it right.
