You may have noticed our Gaming Repair section & side bar have been updated giving our website a bit more polish and a personality.
Well, our name is leak’n out there, a bit slowly right now (but we’re fine as we’re growing as a team) and I’m happy to report, we’ve began to start a buzz locally and turns out our Gaming Repair division is off to a great start by snagging quite a few leads for repairs the past few days.
In fact, yesterday evening I was able to accompany Junji to meet a fellow gamer who’s game system wasn’t reading. Turns out the need for gaming repair(s) is a pretty large common need, especially with the last console generation. (ps2, xbox, gamecube)
Whats great about providing this service to our customers is how so many of them are everyday joes like you & I and when a game system goes down, it really does put a strain on our gaming.
In fact its probably a fair assestment to say that it almost kills our game time to a hault. And with some other services out there, their repairs cost almost as much as buying a new usd system! Which is part of the reason why we’ve set our prices as a reasonable level, and why I believe we’re getting the positive response from gamers. And so as part of this blogs title and theme, we’re truly trying to help gamers, one system at a time.

Take for example our customer, (whom for the customers privacy we’ll keep anonymous; lets just say “Jay” for the post) last night who requested for us to fix his Ps2. With our service, the gamer was able to get his game system back in time for him and his girlfriend to get their gaming time together again after a month of non-service. After the system had begin to fritz in the early part of Dec., “Jay” just began to go without playing.
Sound familiar?
In fact for many, I’m pretty sure a lot of people have given up on gaming because of times like this when systems go down.
In my own experience, before we thought of starting up 2G4G, my wife had asked my father in law to get my PS2 going after she had dropped it accidently during one of our many apartment moves (don’t worry, my wife is fine, and I did get over it). Unfortunately, not having our Gaming Repair, and knowing the refurbished system at a local place would cost $100 bucks or more, my wife & I just left it for dead until one day we did some spring cleaning and….you guessed it.
It got canned.
Turns out a lot of customers have come to us and said “I wish you guys started out a year ago!” Believe us we wish the same. But than again, the timing probably wouldn’t have been right. Ah but life is ironic eh? Who’d thought that within 2 years time, our skills and talents would lead us to open our own shop with the confidence and know how to fix systems and get gamers back to what matters most – gaming!
And so we hope to serve our customers – to gamers for gamers – by giving back to gamers who are in need of some help.
