PSP Phone? Is PSP the real Transformer this summer?

Reported on www.i4u.com today, now the PSP is poised to be a phone, says Sony Erricsson, via their current patent-filing. Which, for a company that is part Sony, part phone company, I can’t believe its taken them this long to get the idea out.

Looks like instead of a transforming Xbox360 (see gamespot.com for details) the real transformer in the world of video games is the PlayStation Portable; what will all the things its capable of doin. (besides just games)

Funny though, that at rest, the patent doesn’t look like it would let me PLAY GAMES!?! Seems like no matter what we do, someone, somewhere, is looking to take away the game experience from the PSP. Here’s hoping someone brings the phone, but helps gamers still play.

Access your PS3 files on your PSP with 3.50 update!

If you haven’t heard, a new firmware was released on May 31, 07, the PSP 3.50, and th update, (for a lack of a better pun) is seriously off-the-hook.

Through any wireless access point, your PSP can now remotely access your PS3’s harddrive to get even more non-gamer related goodness from your PSP.

Besides streaming games, you can do movies, (*note other online vids but not Blue-Ray or DVD) photos, vaporize food… okay well not really. (yet) LOL

Definitely cool Sony… just bring more AAA games out and we’ll make sure we’re cool.
